A timeline for award has not yet been established.** Questions regarding bid specifications and site work should be directed to the following by August 17, 2021 @2:00 pm: Bid RFIs Due to District August 17, 2021 @ 2:00 pm Addendum, if Issued July 30, 2021 @ 2:00 pm Board Award of Contract August 17, 2021 Notice of Award August 18, 2021 Notice to Proceed September 10, 2021 Start Date: Construction September 13, 2021 Substantial Completion Date April 15, 2022 Contract Completion (Closeout) June 14, 2022 Each Bid must be accompanied by one of the following forms of bidder's security: (1) cash; (2) a cashier's check made payable to the District; (3) a certified check made payable to the District; or (4) a bidder's bond executed by a California admitted surety as defined in Code of Civil Procedure section 995.120, made payable to the District in the form set forth in the Bid Documents. Such bidder's security must be in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the maximum amount of bid for each site, as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into the proposed Contract, if the same is awarded to such bidder, and will provide the required performance and payment Bonds, insurance certificates and any other required documents. In the event of failure to enter into said Contract or provide the necessary documents, said security will be forfeited. Within 10 days after notification of the Award of Contract, the successful bidder or bidders will be required to furnish, simultaneously with execution of the Contract, a Labor and Material Payment Bond and a Faithful Performance Bond in the form required by the District, each in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price from an admitted surety company as defined in Code of Civil Procedure section 995.120. Bids will not be accepted if a Contractor has not been prequalified. Prequalification applications may be submitted online Prequalification applications should be submitted in enough time to ensure processing. Processing could take up to 21 days depending on the accuracy of the application. Bidders must have a determination of prequalified status at least five (5) days before bid opening. Contractors will be notified by email of the results of their prequalification application. Prequalification of Bidders MANDATORY for Projects using funds received pursuant to the Leroy F, Greene School Facilities Act or any funds from any state bond fund that involves a projected expenditure of $1,000,000 or more- delete if not applicable. If this Project includes work that will be performed by mechanical, electrical or plumbing ("MEP") subcontractors (contractors that hold C-4, C-7, C-10, C-16, C-20, C-34, C-36, C-38, C-42, C-43 or C-46 licenses), such MEP contractors must also be prequalified. It is the responsibility of the bidder to ensure that all MEP subcontractors holding any of the licenses listed above are properly prequalified before submitting a bid. This prequalification requirement applies even if the subcontractor (of any tier) is designated to perform work that does not require one of the licenses listed above, but the subcontractor holds one of the licenses listed above. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, and further reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in the Bids or in the bidding
