Renovation of an educational facility in College Park, Maryland. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 77,400-square-foot, four-story above grade educational facility.

J. Vinton Schafer & Sons is the Construction Manager for the project referenced above and is soliciting Bids from qualified subcontractors. The project consists of a 77,400 gross square foot new building, complete with architectural and engineering systems. This project consists of, but is not limited to, 4 stories plus a basement, This area is comprised of a programmed assignable space including instructional spaces, offices and their support areas, common spaces such as a reading room, conference rooms, building maintenance rooms, and other required support spaces such as restrooms and utility spaces. The Subcontractor Bid Packages requested in this invitation are as follows: Package 16B - A/V and DAS Bid Package - Consisting of the complete Audio/Visual and Digital Antenna System (Design Build) Scope of Work Special Conditions: A. A/V and DAS Bid Package Notice to Proceed is anticipated to be Friday, August 13th, 2021 B. Project Substantial Completion date shall be April 22nd, 2021. A project milestone schedule can be seen under 00 33 04 Information Available to Bidders - Preliminary Project Milestone Schedule. C. This Project is subject to State Prevailing Wage Rates D. This Project is subject to Minority Business Enterprise requirements of (30 %) with sub goals of African American-owned business (7%) Asian (4%) E. This Project is funded in part by State, and Local Funds and all regulatory requirements and reporting requirements associated with the funding agencies shall be adhered to. F. A Payment and Performance Bond will be required; unless pre -approved by J Vinton Schafer prequalification process.
