Description of Work: The project includes demolition of 19 - two-story Residential Buildings, a Community Building, and associated site features and utility connections. The project has (2) alternates to include (4) additional buildings and associates features for demolition. Additional full sets may be purchased by a check in the same amount, or portions of sets may be purchased at a cost of $3.00 per drawing sheet and $0.25 per specification sheet. Price of these plans is non-refundable. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond, certified check, or bank cashiers check payable to the Fayette County Housing Authority in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid amount. The Fayette County Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities in bidding. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days subsequent to the opening without the consent of the Authority. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for a satisfactory Performance and Payment Bond. The Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, national origin or age. Contractors will be required to pay Davis Bacon Prevailing Wages for this project. The Fayette County Housing Authority solicits and encourages Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) participation. MBEs will be afforded full consideration of their responses and will not be subjected to discrimination. Bidders will be required to comply with the Authoritys MBE Program Goal requirements where applicable.
