FOLLOWING SCOPE OF WORK DESCRIBED SHALL BE CLASSIFIED AS A LEVEL 2 ALTERATION PER IEBC SECTION 504.1. LEVEL 2 ALTERATIONS INCLUDE THE RECONFIGURATION OF SPACE, THE ADDITION OR ELIMINATION OF ANY DOOR OR WINDOW, THE RECONFIGURATION OR EXTENSION OF ANY SYSTEM, OR THE INSTALLATION OF ANY ADDITIONAL EQUIPMENT.
SCOPE OF WORK TO INCLUDE DEMOLITION OF INTERIOR WALLS, DOORS. CASEWORK, FINISHES AND EQUIPMENT AS SHOWN.
NEW SCOPE OF WORK INCLUDES NEW INTERIOR WALLS, DOORS, CASEWORK, FINISHES, AND EQUIPMENT AS SHOWN. MECHANICAL, ELECTRICAL, AND PLUMBING WORK TO INCLUDE ADJUSTMENT TO EXISTING SYSTEMS AS AFFECTED BY RECONFIGURATION OF EXISTING SPACES. The overall project consist renovations and modifications to the Gunsmithing Lab located on the
Greenwood Campus of Piedmont Technical College. The scope of work includes interiors
modifications to the existing space and some minor exterior improvements to the covered
walkway.
Interior Modifications:
Interior modifications include removal of some existing wall and stairwell construction to
accommodate new openings, expanded laboratory space and new office spaces.
Interior Systems:
o Interior Wall System: Gypsum wall board, painted.
o Floor Finish System: epoxy flooring.
o Ceiling System: Exposed grid with 24"X48" acoustical tile and grid.
o Painting: Existing and new walls, hollow metal frames and doors.
o Doors: Hollow metal doors and frames.
Exterior Systems:
o Concrete: Concrete sidewalks construction and finish to match existing.
o Ceiling System: Metal framing, sheathing and stucco finish to match existing.
o Roof System: Metal framing, sheathing and single ply roofing system.
Electrical System:
o Interior and exterior general electrical wiring for lighting, electrical outlets and service to
meet the electrical requirements.
Mechanical System:
o New ductwork, supplies and grilles as indicated to meet the mechanical requirements.
Schedule of Work:
o Begin Construction as soon as possible after Notice to Proceed. Complete the work
within 160 calendar days from the Date of Commencement.
Contractor Use of Premises:
o Limit use of premises to construction areas and activities.
o Confine operations to areas within Contract Limits indicated. Portions of the site beyond
areas in which construction operations are indicated are not to be disturbed. Install
temporary construction barriers around areas of construction operations and maintain
until construction is substantially complete.
o Keep driveway and entrances clear at all times. Do not use these areas for parking or
storage of materials.
