Actual award amount: $91,814.46 Requests for clarification are due Thursday, July 22, 2021 12:00:00 PM [(UTC-05:00) Eastern Time (US & Canada)]. The project shall include, but is not limited to, placement of riprap rock for slope protection at culvert outlet, constructing a stormwater basin with outlet structure and emergency spillway, installing inlets and pipes for drainage, installing erosion and sediment control measures, traffic control and all necessary incidental work, appurtenances and site restoration for said construction. The project generally consists of replacing and reinforcing part of the roadway bank along Bush Hill Road. All work and material must be in accordance with current Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) Publications 408 and 447 and supplements. Bidders do not need to be PennDOT pre-qualified. A certified check or bank draft payable to the order of Delaware Township, or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total of the Bid, shall be submitted with each bid. The Bidder shall include the fully completed Non-Collusion Affidavit with the bid. Construction Performance and Payment Bonds are required in the amount of one-hundred (100) percent of the Contract as awarded. Bidders are hereby notified that Prevailing Wage Rates must ONLY be paid on local transportation projects over $100,000 in accordance with the Act 89 Transportation Plan. Each Bidder (and Bidder's subcontractor[s]) must ensure that employees, and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, age, color, religion, sex, national origin, or handicap. Bids may be held by the Delaware Township Board of Supervisors for up to 60 days from the date of opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders prior to awarding the contract. They also reserve the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any irregularities, or to negotiate contract amounts. Delaware Township is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Bid item numbers 2, 3, 4 and 5 are now Add Alternate Bid Items. These items may not be awarded if they are not available due to HDPE shortages. If not awarded, the township will provide temporary pipe for the detention pond outlet so that the pond can be installed this year. Bit item number 7 is now R-6 RipRap with a quantity of approximately 80 C.Y. A clarification for bid item number 1 is that there is 525 C.Y. of fill and 1275 C.Y. of cut which equals approximately 1800 C.Y. of excavation.
