Site work and paving for a civil project in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

**As of February 3, 2022, This project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established.** The work will include but is not limited to, includes the installation of approximately 1,332 LF of water mains along the entire limits of Simplex Avenue and Hay Street to the intersection of Jersey Avenue. The scope of work includes various improvements of water mains through the construction of new 6-inch and 8-inch Ductile Iron Pipe Class 52 Potable Water Mains along with fittings, service connections and components. This new water main system shall connect to the existing infrastructure which currently operates throughout the City. Site work scope includes various traffic control devices, clearing site, soil erosion and sediment control measures, excavation, restoration of asphalt pavement, various driveway restorations, curb restoration, and landscape restorations. The work also includes the replacement of existing water service lines from the main to the meter. The Contractor shall name a Licensed Plumber as part of the sub-contractor list to complete the reconnection work with the existing meters. The contractor shall be responsible for providing all labor, supervision, trade skills, materials, and equipment required for this project as described in the Construction Documents. The Contract will allow 90 calendar days for completion of the work from the notice to proceed. All work under the applicable awarded contract must be completed within the specified duration from notice to proceed. Notice to Proceed will be issued within 60 days of contract award date and coordinated with the Contractor. A certified check or cashier's check made payable to the order of the City of New Brunswick, or a duly executed Bid Bond, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of each bid, but in no case in excess of $20,000.00 must be deposited by the Bidder together with a Surety Consent evidencing that he can obtain the required Performance Bond. All applicable surety bonds required in connection with the advertisement and award of building contracts or sub agreements must be written by a surety company listed on the Federal Treasury List (Department Circular 570 - Surety Companies Acceptable on Federal bonds), incorporated herein by reference. Copies of this document may be obtained from the Department. The City of New Brunswick reserves the right to consider bids for sixty (60) days after their receipt. The right is reserved to waive any informalities, to accept bids which it deems most favorable to the interest of the City, to make an award on each item separately or as a whole and to accept any Bid or to reject any or all Proposals in accordance with the Specifications and the Proposal forms.
