The Project consists of two(2) bid packages as follows: Package A - constructing approximately 22,450 lf of 12" steel gas main along an existing powerline route; and Package B - constructing approximately 8,500 lf of 10-inch steel gas main along US 42 right of way. The contractor(s) for Package A and B will be responsible for providing labor and equipment for the pipeline installation. The Owner will purchase and furnish the 10" and 12" steel piping. The contractor(s) will be responsible for furnishing the remaining required materials, including but not limited to pipe fittings, Mueller fittings, valves, and appurtenances Bids will be received for single prime Contract for each bid package. Bids shall be on a unit price basis, as indicated in the Bid Form. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the prospective Bidder's date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. The project will be partially funded with Federal funds from the United States Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration (EDA Investment No. 04-01-07646) and therefore is subject to the Federal laws and regulations associated with that program. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Bid Package A - Work shall be substantially completed within 240 days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run as provided in Paragraph 4.01 of the General Conditions, and completed and ready for final payment in accordance with Paragraph 15.06 of the General Conditions within 270 days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run. Bid Package B - Work shall be substantially completed within 210 days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run as provided in Paragraph 4.01 of the General Conditions, and completed and ready for final payment in accordance with Paragraph 15.06 of the General Conditions within 240 days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run.
