Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Casa Grande, Arizona. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; water / sewer project; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

All bidders please note that per Clarification no. 6 in Addendum 1 Storm Drain shall not be included with the bid as it has already been awarded. This contract shall be for furnishing all labor, materials, transportation, and services for the construction and/or installation of pavement and utility related improvements only shown on the Plans, including, but not limited to the following: 1. Mission Royale Parcel 6 - Paving Plans - Pavement, Concrete and Storm Drainage work associated with local roadway improvements including but not limited to, asphalt concrete pavement, curbing and sidewalk, catch basins, storm drain manholes, manhole and water valve adjustments and survey markers. Bids must be submitted on the Proposal Form provided and be accompanied by the Bid Bond for not less than ten percent (10%) of the total bid, payable to MERITAGE HOMES CONSTRUCTION, INC., or a certified or cashier's check. PERSONAL OR INDIVIDUAL SURETY BONDS ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE. The successful bidder will be required to execute the MERITAGE HOMES CONSTRUCTION, INC. Contract and respective Addenda for construction within ten (10) days after formal Notice of Contract Award. Failure by bidder to properly execute the Contract and provide the required certification as specified shall be considered a breach of Contract by bidder. MERITAGE HOMES CONSTRUCTION, INC. shall be free to terminate the Contract or, at option, release the successful bidder. Payment and Performance Bonds will be required for this Work. The successful bidder, simultaneously with the execution of the Contract, shall be required to furnish a Payment Bond in the amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price, and a Performance Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price. Successful Bidder shall name MERITAGE HOMES CONSTRUCTION, INC. as obligee on both the Payment and Performance Bonds and name the City of Casa Grande as an additional obligee on the Performance Bond. No questions will be answered verbally. No explanation answer to technical question, representations nor comments will be made by the Owner's personnel concerning this Project. Questions will be taken until Friday, July 23rd, 2021 at 5:00P.M., Arizona Time. Technical questions received prior to the Pre-Bid Conference and during the Pre-Bid Conference will be answered at said conference. An Addendum of Addenda will be issued on the technical questions received in writing, and/or raised during the Pre-Bid Conference, if the Owner or engineer of record are of the opinion that a formal addendum is required to fully answer the question or questions raised. If an addendum is deemed necessary, a link to download the documents will be provided to the contractors on the bidders list no later than the end of business Tuesday, July 27, 2021. The right is hereby reserved to accept or reject any or all bids or parts thereto, to waive any informalities in any proposal and reject the bids of any persons who have been delinquent or unfaithful to any contract with MERITAGE HOMES CONSTRUCTION, INC.; CITY OF CASA GRANDE, MISSION ROYALE COMMUNITY FACILITIES DISTRICT. The work, which is the subject of this bid, MAY BE the subject of a district development, financing participation and intergovernmental agreement among the owner, the City of Casa Grande and Mission Royale Community Facilities District pursuant to which such work may be acquired by such community facilities district. This successful contractor will not have recourse, directly or indirectly, to such City or community facilities district for any cost under any contract liability, claim or expense arising there from. INSURANCE: Bidder shall submit a completed Certificate of insurance form meeting the requirements as noted in the MERITAGE HOMES CONSTRUCTION, INC. insurance requirements. Bidder shall also indicate the following parties as being additional insured and forward a copy of the insurance directly to those parties: 1. City of Casa Grande: 510 East Florence Boulevard, Casa Grande, Arizona, 85122. 2. Mission Royale Community Facilities District. This project is currently tracking to have a Mid August 2021 start date and must be completed by April 1st, 2022
