Renovation of a municipal facility in Athens, Ohio. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
All bids will be considered valid until 60 days after the opening date, although not accepted or rejected. All work must be completed by State and City licensed bonded and insured contractors. This is a prevailing wage rate project and the estimate of design and construction is $177,000. Each bid shall contain the full name and address of each person or company interested in the same. It shall be accompanied by a proposal bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the bid, or by a certified check, cashier's check or irrevocable letter of credit for ten percent (10%) of the bid, made payable to the City of Athens, Ohio, conditioned that if the bid is accepted, a contract will be entered into within ten (10) days after notice of acceptance. The bidder will be required to state in full detail on his/her proposal his/her experience in this class of work, and bids from contractors inexperienced in this particular class of work will not be considered. The work shall commence upon written notice of award by the City of Athens. The City of Athens reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids and to waive informalities as may be in its best interest
