Renovation of a museum in Germantown, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a museum.
The estimated contract price range: $685,000 - $875,000 Each bid must be prepared and submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and must be accompanied by Bid Security in the form of a certified check, bank check or bid bond in the amount of $41,000.00 (forty-one thousand dollars). All RFI's are due by 1:00 PM on August 4, 2021 Work includes exterior restoration of the Livingston Mansion, including masonry, stucco, architectural woodwork, exterior painting & mineral coating, window restoration, replacement of wooden storm windows, reconstruction of a stone terrace and retaining wall. Work includes abatement of asbestos containing window glazing putty. Includes exterior restoration of Children's Playhouse. PUBLIC BUILDING LAW 8(6) Effective January 11, 2020, for any projects where the project design commenced on or after January 1, 2020 and for any contracts over $5000 for the work construction, reconstruction, alteration, repair, or improvement of any State building, a responsible and reliable NYS-certified Minority or Women-Owned Business Enterprise that submits a bid within ten percent of the lowest bid will be deemed the apparent low bidder provided that the bid is $1,400,000 or less, as adjusted annually for inflation beginning January 1, 2020. If more than one responsible and reliable MWBE firm meets the requirements, the MWBE firm with lowest bid will be deemed the apparent low bidder. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Bond in the statutory form of public bonds required by Sections 136 and 137 of the State Finance Law, each for 100% of the amount of the Contract. Project Specific Liquidated Damages (Refer to Table in Article 14 of General Conditions). Article 17-B of the New York State Executive Law provides for more meaningful participation in public procurement by certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Businesses ("SDVOBs"), thereby further integrating such businesses into New York State's economy. OPRHP recognizes the need to promote the employment of service-disabled veterans and to ensure that certified service-disabled veteran-owned businesses have opportunities for maximum feasible participation in the performance of OPRHP contracts. In recognition of the service and sacrifices made by service-disabled veterans and in recognition of their economic activity in doing business in New York State. Bidders/Contractors are strongly encouraged and expected to consider SDVOBs in the fulfillment of the requirements of the Contract. Such participation may be as subcontractors or suppliers, as proteges, or in other partnering or supporting roles. For purposes of this procurement, Bidder/Contractor is encouraged to make good faith efforts to promote and assist in the participation of SDVOBs on the Contract for the provision of services and materials. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
