In general, Part 1 work consists of: Pre-television of lines to be repaired by point repair, combination repair, service repair, mechanical cleaning, or cured-in-place pipe. Pipebursting of sanitary sewer lines including service reconnections in kind, drop stack reconnections, and cleanout replacements. Rehabilitation of a cast iron, sanitary sewer line with heavy tuberculation and an abandoned TV cable. Majority of which is under pavement with a covered clean out. Rehabilitation of sanitary sewer lines by mechanical cleaning, point repair, internal point repair, combination repair, and/or service repair. Rehabilitation of sanitary sewer lines by cured-in-place pipe installation. Site restoration including removal and replacement of damaged sidewalks, driveways, concrete patios, wooden decks, pavement, irrigation lines, turf, plants, shrubs, fences, trees, and other miscellaneous items. Trench safety as required per Section 01561, implementation and maintenance of traffic control, and bypass pumping, as necessary, throughout the project. In general, Part 2 work consists of: Removal and replacement of existing 3-inch force main with 3-inch galvanized steel pipe, including all fittings, and stainless-steel straps for securing to existing bridge crossing pipe supports. Contractor to complete connections as close as possible to slope paving, utilizing Hymax fittings or approve equal, in order to replace the maximum amount of existing pipe replaced. Contractor to coordinate with Operator to temporarily suspend lift station discharge into force main while performing work. Site restoration including removal and replacement of damaged sidewalks, driveways, pavement, irrigation lines, turf, plants, shrubs, fences, trees, and other miscellaneous items. Implementation and maintenance of traffic control, as necessary. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or minor defects and to reject any or all bids. In case of the lack of clarity or ambiguity in prices, the Owner reserves the right to accept the most advantageous or reject the bid. The successful bidder will be required to provide payment and performance bonds in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. Roll call will happen at the beginning of the meeting and as people join the meeting. No person may represent more than one bidder at the pre-bid conference. If a person claims to represent more than one bidder at the pre-bid conference, the bid of each bidder so represented will be returned unopened. Each bid shall be submitted on the prescribed form and accompanied by a bid bond, cashier's check or certified check in the amount equal to ten percent (10%) of total base bid. If certified or cashier's check is used as bid security, check must be drawn on a responsible bank located in the State of Texas and made payable to Owner only.
