Site work and new construction of a fire / police facility in Morristown, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the construction of a fire / police facility; and for site work for a fire / police facility.
Sealed bids will be received by Township of Mendham for the complete construction of the New Building for the Township of Mendham (Police Department) located at (Block 137 / Lot 17.01) 4 West Main Street, Brookside, New Jersey 07926 together with all work incidental thereto in accordance with Drawings and Specifications prepared by Cornerstone Architectural Group, LLC. Bids must include all applicable unit prices and numbered alternate bids. Bids must be delivered by hand or by mail to the Township Clerk no later than the date and time noted above. All Bid proposals will be date and time stamped upon receipt. Each Bidder is solely responsible for the timely delivery of the Bid proposal and no Bids shall be considered which are presented after the public call for receiving Bids. Any Bid Proposal received after the date and time specified will be returned, unopened, to the Bidder. Bids sent by express mail or delivery service must either (1) include designation outlined in the paragraph above on the outside of the express mail or service envelope; or (2) must be in a separate envelope inside the delivery envelope and envelope marked as required by above. It is the Bidder's responsibility that Bids are presented to the Township at the time and at the place designated. Bids may be hand delivered or mailed; however, the Township disclaims any responsibility for Bids forwarded by regular or overnight mail. Bids received after the designated time and date will be returned unopened. Bidders must use the prepared Bid Proposal Form. Each proposal must be enclosed in a sealed envelope addressed to the Township Clerk, Township of Mendham, marked on the outside with the name and address of the bidder and the name of the contract being bid, and delivered on or before the hour set forth above. Bids will be received for the following contract: CONTRACT BID: Includes all work and materials required to complete the project: Contract No. 1 Single Overall Contract Bid The Instructions to Bidders, Form of Bid, Specifications, Drawings and other contract documents may be examined at the office of the Architects (from 9:00am until 4:00pm, Monday through Friday); Cornerstone Architectural Group, L.L.C. 202 Hamilton Boulevard South Plainfield, New Jersey NO CASH SHALL BE ACCEPTED. Please call prior to picking up said documents if you desire printed copies. Bid documents will not be mailed to prospective bidders under any circumstances. Bidders shall use complete sets of Bidding Documents in preparing Bids. Neither the Owner nor the Architect will assume any responsibility for errors or misinterpretations resulting from the use of incomplete sets of Bidding Documents. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of; P.L. 2004, c.57, which pertains to the New Jersey Business Registration Requirements. (See Section 19 of the Information to Bidders). N.J.S.A. 10:5-31et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27 which pertains to Affirmative Action Rule P.L.1977, c. 33, which refers to the Statement of Business Ownership P.L. 1999 C. 238, Public Works Contractor Registration. Bidder shall submit with the bid a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total price bid, but not in excess of $20,000, payable unconditionally to the Township of Mendham. When submitting a Bid Bond, it shall contain Power of Attorney for full amount of Bid Bond from a surety company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey and acceptable to the Township. The check or bond of the unsuccessful bidder(s) shall be returned pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-24a. The check or bond of the bidder to whom the contract is awarded shall be retained until a contract is executed and the required performance bond or other security is submitted. The check or bond of the successful bidder shall be forfeited if the bidder fails to enter into a contract pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-21. The Bid Bond shall include a valid Power of Attorney authorizing the Attorney-in-Fact to execute the documents. Failure to submit a bid guarantee shall result in rejection of the bid. Each Bidder shall submit with its bid, a Consent of Surety as per N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-25 from a Surety company licensed to write business in the State of New Jersey, stating that the Surety will provide the successful bidder and its subcontractors with a performance/payment bond in the full amount of the contract. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities in, or to reject, any or all bids in whole or in part. Attention of the bidders is called particularly to the requirements of conditions of employment and to the minimum prevailing wage rates to be paid under the contract as stated in the Instructions to Bidders, the General Conditions of the Contract for Construction. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The contractor or subcontractor agrees to make good faith efforts to employ minority and women workers consistent with the applicable county employment goals established in accordance with N.J.A.C. l7:27-5.2, or a binding determination of the applicable county employment goals determined by the Division, pursuant to N.J.A.C. 17:27-5.2.
