Site work for a water / sewer project in Newport Beach, California. Design plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
This project involves extensive permitting, environmental analysis and final design for the replacement of water and wastewater mains crossing under the Newport Bay as identified in the Water Master Plan. Most of these pipelines are relatively old and have reached their service life. The project also includes the relocation of a water main to avoid impacts associated with the private Back Bay Landing development project. A Preliminary Design Report was completed to determine the best method of pipeline replacement. This project will focus on water and wastewater mains associated with the subaqueous method of construction. Plans and specifications are prepared by a consultant. Construction will be performed by a private contractor. This project is included in the city's FY 2022-2024 Capital Improvement Program.
