Bid Bond 0.00% Payment Bond 0.00% Performance Bond 0.00% Pre-Bid Meeting No Online Q&A Yes Q&A Deadline 10/21/2022 3:30 PM (PDT) The City of Newport Beach is requesting proposals for preliminary architectural concepts, planning, permitting, public outreach, and final architectural and engineering design services for replacement of the existing Balboa Branch Library and Fire Station No. 1 (Project) located on Balboa Peninsula. The project scope of work includes conceptualizing and designing an approximately 9,000 SF (combination library and fire station), playground, and equipment storage building of approximately 1,000 SF; assessing related site work and parking impacts; addressing the required permits for construction (Building, Planning (Minor Use Permit, Costal Development Permit at Zoning Administrator, possible Site Development Review), and WQMP); designing site landscaping; maintaining connectivity to existing buildings and setting; and associated appurtenances and other necessary infrastructure per the attached concept exhibits. The existing lot size is 25,000 SF and the anticipated all in project cost is expected to be $7,400,000. Proposals will be evaluated on the basis of the response to all provisions of this RFP. Evaluations will be based solely on a Qualifications Based Selection process. The City may use some or all of the following criterion in its evaluation and comparison of proposals submitted. The criteria listed are not necessarily an all-inclusive list. The order in which they appear is not intended to indicate their relative importance. The City reserves the right to modify the evaluation criterion and percentage of score as deemed appropriate prior to the commencement of evaluation. The City reserves the right to determine whether a proposal meets the specifications and requirements of this RFP and reject any proposal that, in the City's opinion, fails to meet the detail or intent of the requirements. The City reserves the right to reject any and all proposals.
