- At the Terminal Island Water Reclamation Plant (TIWRP) on Terminal Island in the LA Harbor, - Provide, in coordination with sole-source suppliers Xylem, Krohne & Honeywell, all labor, supplies & equipment needed to design & build modifications to the AWPF/AOP & integration with existing systems necessary to implement the capability to divert water produced by the facility back into the beginning of the process & replace it with water from reserves in the event of circumstances that might lead to release of non-compliant water from the AWPF J.F. Shea Construction, Inc. is soliciting your participation in the preparation of this bid. We are particularly interested in bids from subcontractors/suppliers for the following work items: Demolition, AC Paving, Ready-Mix Concrete, Reinforcing Steel, Miscellaneous Metals, Sealants, Painting & Coatings, Electrical and Instrumentation J.F. Shea Construction, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer and intends to negotiate in good faith with interested MBE/WBE/SBE/DVBE firms and intends to utilize the lowest responsive bidder. J.F. Shea expects potential subcontractors to be bondable. J.F. Shea will pay for up to 1% for subcontractor bond costs. Subcontractors and Suppliers are expected to bid per plans and specifications, including requirements for warranties. Standard manufacturer's warranties, if not in conformance with owner's specifications, will not be accepted. The Board of Public Works anticipated level of MBE participation is 4%, WBE participation is 2%, SBE participation is 25%, EBE participation is 8%, and DVBE participation is 3% (See Part III of the Proposal).
