Renovation of a multi-residential development in Albany, Georgia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.
For furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and services required to construct ALBANY HOUSING AUTHORITY, RECONSTRUCTION OF BURNED DWELLING UNIT, ALBANY, GEORGIA - 2124, consisting of rebuilding a dwelling damaged by fire. At Unit 615 Kingsbury Lane at Project GA06P023018 in Albany, Georgia (3-BR Dwelling Unit): Parts ofthe building are intact and the Scope ofWork shall include the work listed on the scope ofwork and estimate from "Gallagher Bassett" attached to these documents following this Section. Remove and replace components ofthe building (3-Bedroom unit) damaged by fire and water using materials matching or similar to those within the existing adjacent dwelling units within this same Development. Remediate smoke-damaged portions ofthe building by cleaning, painting, sealing, and repairing fixtures as necessary and as directed in the attached scope ofwork and estimate from "Gallagher Bassett". Due to the Covid-19 virus, nobody will be allowed to enter or remain in the building during the Bid Opening. The Architect will open the bids and will send a copy of the Bid Tabulation to all parties that submitted a bid. If documents are not returned, the entire deposit will be forfeited. Prime Contractors may purchase additional sets and subcontractors and material suppliers may purchase sets of the documents for the cost of reproduction which is $100.00 per set. This is not refundable. No partial sets will be issued. Shipping charges are in addition to deposit. Checks shall be made payable to the Albany Housing Authority. Documents may also be obtained from the Architect electronically in a pdf format, for which a deposit will not be required. No partial sets will be issued. Prime Contractors, subcontractors, and material suppliers who obtain documents in this manner are responsible for providing their full company name, mailing address, email address, phone number, and fax number to the Architect. Prime Contractors, subcontractors, and material suppliers who obtain documents in this manner are also fully responsible for verifying that they have received a complete set of the Contract Forms, Drawings and Specifications. A certified check drawn on a bank or trust company insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, payable to the Housing Authority, or satisfactory bond executed by an acceptablesurety on the Bid Bond form contained in the Specifications, or other form acceptable to HUD and the LHA, and in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid shall be submitted with each bid.The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance and Payment Bond(s) in the amount of 100% of the contract amount. All sureties must be authorized to transact business in the State of Georgia and must be listed on the U.S. Treasury Department Circular No. 570 (most current list), published annually listing companies approved to act as surety on bonds securing government contracts, and said surety or sureties must be in accordance with maximum underwriting limits on each contract as specified in the above mentioned Circular No. 570. The entire project shall be fully completed within 150 consecutive calendar days.
