The scope of work for this project consists of furnishing and installing a volute screw press, polymer feed system, flow meter, and associated piping and electrical work. A certified check, cashier's check or letter of credit in favor of the Village of Leipsic, Ohio in the amount of 10% of the bid. If the contract is awarded, a Contract Bond will be required, which is a 100% payment and performance bond. After the award of the contract let by competitive bid and prior to the time the contract is entered into, bidders shall submit the affidavit required under the Ohio Revised Code, Section 5719.042 that the bidder was not charged with any delinquent personal property taxes in Putnam County, Ohio. The successful bidder will be required to pay not less than the minimum wage rates established by the Department of Industrial Relations of the State of Ohio. The Village of Leipsic, Ohio reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any irregularity in any bid and to determine the lowest and best bidder. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of 60 days after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids. 1. Work associated with this project includes following items: a. Structural modification of the stainless-steel frame to support the volute screw press. b. Installation of the stainless-steel frame on the existing concrete piers. c. Installation of the new volute screw press. d. Installation of the existing progressive cavity pump on the stainless-steel frame. e. Installation of the new polymer blending and feed equipment. f. Installation of the new 3" magnetic flow meter. g. Installation of the new sludge feed piping, water piping and polymer solution piping to the volute screw press. h. Electrical power, instrumentation, and control to connect the sludge feed pump, the polymer blending and feed system, the magnetic flow meter, sludge grinder and sludge conveyor to the volute screw press control panel
