Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Marathon, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

As of 08/04/2021 This project will be awarded tonight. No start and end date. The Village of Marathon City will be accepting sealed bids for milling and laying asphalt as specified below. Bids need to include price for milling, price per ton of asphalt and estimated tonnage for each street segment listed below. Requirements: A. Fourth Street from Walnut Street west to Pine Street 1. Provide traffic control signing and flagging as needed for our operations. 2. Mill existing roadway 1-3/4 inch at curb line and profile to center line. Coordinate hauling excess material with village to village site. 3. Sweep and prep for asphalt overlay. 4. Apply tack coat prior to paving the surface course. 5. Fine grade, water, and compact the base course material. 6. Overlay existing pavement with Type 4MT 58-28S asphalt mix compacted to an average thickness of 1-3/4 inches. B. First Street From East Street west to Market Street (two lifts) 1. Provide traffic control signing and flagging as needed for our operations. 2. Pulverize existing roadway for base course. Coordinate hauling excess material with village to village site. 3. Fine grade, water, and compact the base course material. To create a 3 percent crown in roadway. 4. Pave lower lift with WisDOT Spec. Type 3MT 58-28S asphalt mix compacted to an average thickness of 2-1/4 inches. 5. Apply tack coat prior to paving the surface course. 6. Overlay existing pavement with Type 4MT 58-28S asphalt mix compacted to an average thickness of 1-3/4 inches. C. Hillside Drive from Maraview Drive to Walnut Street 1. Provide traffic control signing and flagging as needed for our operations. 2. Pulverize existing roadway for base course. Coordinate hauling excess material with village to village site. 3. Fine grade, water, and compact the base course material. 4. Pave with WisDOT Spec. Type 4MT 58-28S asphalt mix compacted to an average thickness of 2 inches.
