Remodeling of a municipal facility in Weslaco, Texas. Completed plans call for the remodel of a municipal facility.
The Department of Public Safety is seeking bids for remodel services for the Weslaco Headquarter Office Building. No technical questions will be answered at this Site Visit. Any technical questions, questions regarding the solicitation and HUB Subcontracting Plan, and questions regarding completing and submitting the bid must be submitted in writing only to Team1@dps.texas.gov. 07/20/2021 3:00 PM CT Last day to submit written questions for clarification to DPS Bonds may be required from Contractor before commencing any work as follows: A. For a contract in excess of $100,000.00 a performance bond will be executed in the amount of the contract conditioned upon the faithful performance of the work in accordance with the plans, specifications, and contract documents. Said bond will be solely for the protection of the state. B. For a contract in excess of $25,000.00 a payment bond will be executed in the amount of the contract, solely for the protection of all claimants supplying labor and material. C. Any bids submitted will include the cost of any applicable bond. Costs will be included in the base Bid and will not be itemized separately. All communications, clarifications, and questions concerning this solicitation, including any of a technical nature, will be made in writing only to: Team1@dps.texas.gov DPS reserves the right to make an award on the basis of low line item bid, low total of line items, or in any other combination that will serve the best interest of DPS and to reject any and all items bid at the sole discretion of DPS. DPS also reserves the right to accept or reject all or any part of any response, waive minor technicalities and award the response to best serve the interests of DPS. Project no-405-21R0016088 This section outlines the scope of work included in the project. Refer to the appropriate drawings and specification sections for further information about installation, preparation methods and components to be provided. The contractor is responsible for including all means and methods necessary to complete this portion of the project. The contract Documents, otherwise referred to as drawings, shall serve as a part of this scope of work showing more detail on the intent of this project. The Contractor is responsible for including all means and methods necessary to complete this project See Contract Drawings for complete understanding of demolition and construction scope. This contractor will be responsible for all other demolition as indicated on the project drawings. This is an open area suite ready for a future build out. Remove existing glass door, infill wall, finish both sides (save door and frame) Create new opening into the suite and install door that was saved Remove hollow metal door from hall way, infill and finish area (save door and frame) Building out conference room, office, and open area for secretary. This will require 2 walls to be built and finished out per DPS finish schedule and specs. Relocate MEP items Provide turnkey project as indicated on the drawings and as required for complete project
