Site work for a water / sewer project in Jacksonville, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
This project includes four primary components: installation of new gravity sewer mains, manholes, service laterals, pump station, and force main, sewer hookups and septic tank abandonment on the private lots, replacement of existing galvanized water mains, and the associated extensive surface restoration. The new gravity sewer system includes 16,372 LF of 8" PVC open cut gravity sewer main, 68 manholes, 8,472 LF of 6" PVC open cut sanitary service laterals (255 services), one Class 1 submersible pump station with Pony Pump system, 2,608 LF of 6" PVC open cut force main, and 207 sewer hookups with septic tank abandonments. The new water mains include replacement of existing 1", 1.25", 1.5", and 2" galvanized water mains with 11,777 LF of 6" and 8" PVC, all open cut, 245 service replacements, 6 new services and 23 additional fire hydrants. The surface restoration includes the typical items required for open cut pipeline construction such as pavement repair, removal and replacement of driveways, sidewalks, curb-and-gutter, drainage pipes, fencing, and sodding.
