Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Draper, Utah. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
This RFP is issued for maintenance and repair work on asphalt parking lots at three (3) APA campuses. Specific work details for each campus are listed below and maps are attached to this RFP. North and South parking lots (Green areas) Approximately 41,800 sq.ft. North play area (Orange areas) West parking lot (Purple area) North and South parking lots (Green areas) North and South parking lots only (Green areas) approximately 41,800 sq.ft. APA 2022-04 Asphalt Parking Lots Scope of Work This RFP is issued for maintenance and repair work on asphalt parking lots at three (3) APA campuses. Specific work details for each campus are listed below and maps are attached to this RFP. Draper 1 Campus (D1) 12892 S. Pony Express Road Draper, UT 84020 Pricing for all services listed below to be included in "Draper 1" lines on the "Cost Proposal Form" Item 1: North and South parking lots (Green areas) Approximately 41,800 sq.ft. Saw cut, remove old pavement off site, and replace with new asphalt. Fill, grade and compact base as needed. Install new hot rolled asphalt laid in (2) two lifts for maximum compaction to a final depth of 4". Restripe all parking stalls and repaint red curbs. The North parking lot requires 3 speed bumps to be recreated. Item 2: North play area (Orange areas) Crack fill: approximately 1,500 lineal feet. Power clean and seal with HOT rubberized crack filler to 1/4 ". Mastic large fill repair: approximately 1,100 lineal feet. Seal Coat: approximately 7,100 sq.ft. Power clean asphalt and apply two (2) coats of industrial strength "GUARDTOP" or equivalent. Striping: Restripe all lines and markings per existing using a State approved traffic paint. Excludes: Wheel stops, Signs & Posts. Item 3: West parking lot (Purple area) Crack fill: approximately 8,000 lineal feet. Power clean and seal with HOT rubberized crack filler to 1/4 ". Seal Coat: approximately 52,000 sq.ft. Power clean asphalt and apply two (2) coats of industrial strength "GUARDTOP" or equivalent. Striping: Restripe all lines and markings per existing using a State approved traffic paint. Excludes: Wheel stops, Signs & Posts. Item 4: Option 1 - There are areas in North and South parking lots (Green areas) where the underlying base may need to be partially replaced. Please provide a quote for soft spot repair contingency, if after excavation the subbase is too soft, based upon 10% of the total area (e.g. 4,180 sq.ft.) needing to have the underlying base replaced. Item 5: Option 2 - North and South parking lots only (Green areas) approximately 41,800 sq.ft. Please provide a quote for excavating the current 8" base, furnishing, installing and compacting a new 8" road base, prior to installing the new asphalt outlined in Item Each bidder must provide Product Specs and Warranty information for the products used to create their quote. Draper 2 Campus (D2) 11938 S. Lone Peak Parkway Draper, UT 84020 Pricing for all services listed below to be included in "Draper 2" line on the "Cost Proposal Form" Item 1: Repair small sink hole: Approximately 750 sq. ft. Remove and replace damaged asphalt from a small sink hole. Saw cut and remove damaged pavement off site. Fill, grade and compact base as needed. Install new hot rolled asphalt laid in (2) two lifts for maximum compaction to a final depth of 4". Item 2: Crack Fill - Approximately 17,000 Lineal Feet Power clean cracks and seal with HOT rubberized crack filler. Item 3: Seal Coat - Approximately 260,000 sq. ft. Power clean asphalt and apply (2) two coats of industrial strength "GUARDTOP" or equivalent. Item 4: Striping Restripe all lines and markings per the existing plan using a State approved traffic paint. Each bidder must provide Product Specs and Warranty information for the products used to create their quote. Salem Campus (Salem) 1195 Elk Ridge Drive Salem, UT 84653 Pricing for all services listed below to be included in "Salem" lines on the "Cost Proposal Form" Item 1: Repair damaged asphalt - Approximately 3,600 sq. ft. Saw cut, remove old pavement off site, and replace with new asphalt. Fill, grade and compact base as needed. Install new hot rolled asphalt laid in (2) two lifts for maximum compaction to a final depth of 4". Adjust existing drain box to new grade. The locations of these repairs are identified on the map with green boxes with the numbers 1, 2, 3 or 4 in the box. Item 2: Large crack repair - Approximately 680 sq. ft. Mill 2 ft. wide areas where cracks exceed 2" in width, approximately 340 lineal ft. and remove the material from the site. Sweep, clean and tack area in preparation for asphalt installation. Install new hot mix asphalt and machine compact. Item 3: Large Crack Fill - Approximately 340 Lineal Feet Blow out cracks and apply Gap Mastic crack seal to all major cracks not covered in Item 2 above. Item 4: Crack Fill - Approximately 4,500 Lineal Feet Power clean cracks and seal with HOT rubberized crack filler to a depth of 1". Item 5: Seal Coat - Approximately 54,660 sq. ft. Power clean asphalt and apply (2) two coats of industrial strength "GUARDTOP" or equivalent. Item 6: Striping & Paint Restripe all lines and markings per the existing plan using a State approved traffic paint. Includes: 52 Single Line stalls, 2 ADA parking stalls, 1,300 lineal feet White line, 300 lineal feet Red curb, 8 arrows, 600 sq.ft cross hatching, 6 basketball keys, and 6 four square courts.
