Site work and new construction of an educational facility in Milford, Ohio. Completed plans call for the construction of a 215,000-square-foot educational facility.
Milford-EVSD-CLE-CFAP-2-2021 Design and construction of a new middle school for grades 6 through 8. The total square footage planned for the new middle school is 215,000 square feet, of which approximately 154,850 SF is co-funded and approximately 60,150 SF will be funded through a Locally Funded Initiative (LFI). Planned enrollment for the new middle school is 1,600. The new middle school will be constructed to the west of the existing Milford Junior High School, which will be occupied and operational throughout construction. After the new middle school is occupiable, the existing Milford Junior High School, which is approximately 100,300 SF in size, will be abated and demolished so that the final site work for the new middle school can be completed. Achieving LEED silver certification under version 4.0 for the new middle school is required at a minimum. The delivery method for the new middle school and the abatement and demolition of the existing Milford Junior High School will be CM at Risk, with one CM at Risk firm selected for the both the new construction and the abatement and demolition of the existing Milford Junior High School. Abatement and demolition of Miami Elementary School. The existing square footage of Miami Elementary School is approximately 37,650 SF. The delivery method for this scope will be general contracting.
