Site work and paving for a road / highway in Windsor, California. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

The work consists of the placement of slurry seal, removal and replacement of pavement markings and traffic striping, and other ancillary work as needed to complete the project. Crack sealing is expected to be completed by Town Staff in advance of the project. Questions regarding the plans and specifications may be addressed to bids@townofwindsor.com. The last day for questions is August 4, 2021. The Contractor shall begin work on the "first counted working day" identified in the Notice to Proceed and shall diligently prosecute the same to completion before the expiration of: 45 working days For each and every calendar day of delay in finishing the work in excess of the number of working days prescribed in the preceding paragraph, the Contractor shall pay to the Town of Windsor the sum of: $3,500 per day The Contractor shall possess a State of California Class "A" contractor's license at the time bids are received by the Town and throughout the execution of the contract. Bids are required for the entire work described herein. This contract is subject to State contract non-discrimination and compliance requirements pursuant to Government Code, Section 12990. All forms and documents listed under the Bidder's Book heading in the Table of Contents should be printed on single sided sheets. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check payable to the Town of Windsor or a satisfactory bidder's bond in favor of the Town of Windsor executed by the bidder as principal, and a satisfactory surety company, licensed as such in the State of California, as surety, in an amount not less than 10% of the maximum amount of the bid. The check or bidder's bond shall be given as a guarantee that the bidder shall execute the contract, if awarded to him, in conformity with the contract documents and shall provide the statutory faithful performance bond, and labor and materials (payment) bond for 100% of the contract price, conditioned upon the faithful performance of said contract, said bonds to be provided within ten (10) days, not including Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays, after notification of the award of the contract to the bidder. No bidder may withdraw their bid for a period of 60 (sixty) days after the date set for the opening of bids. Questions may be referred to the Engineering Department at (707) 838-5340. The work in general consists of the placement of slurry seal, removal and replacement of pavement markings and traffic striping, and other ancillary work as needed to complete the project. The estimated quantities of work to be done are approximate only, being as a basis for the comparison of bids, and the Town does not expressly or by implication agree that the actual amount of work will correspond therewith but reserves the right to increase or decrease the amount or any portion of the work as directed by the Town Engineer. Incidental items of construction necessary to complete the whole work in a satisfactory and acceptable manner as shown on the plans and as provided for in the specifications and not specifically referred to in this section, shall be understood to be furnished by the Contractor
