The owner has determined a prequalified list of construction managers. The Georgia State Financing and Investment Commission as "Owner," on behalf the of the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia ("Using Agency"), is seeking firms interested in providing construction management at-risk services for a project known as Project No. J-376 Gateway Building and Infrastructure. Deadline for submission of written questions and requests for clarification 7/26/2021 2:00 PM Questions from Construction Professionals about any aspect of the RFP, or the project, shall be submitted in writing (e-mail is preferable) to: Andrew Triemer, Contracts Manager e-mail: andrew.triemer@gsfic.ga.gov The delivery method for this Project will be Construction Management at-Risk (CM/GC), and, as a minimum, will employ the services of a Commissioning Agent in addition to the services of the Design Professional. This project will provide a Convocation Center with between 2,500 and 3,000 seats and will be approximately 75,000 - 85,000 gsf. When not being used for events, the building will be used for physical education and recreational basketball and/or volleyball. Locker rooms, additional strength and fitness space, concessions and multi-purpose space, student lounge space and wellness areas should also be included. In addition to the Gateway Building, this project will also expand and upgrade an existing mechanical building that will house the new chiller for the Gateway Building and also provide underground piping that will consolidate three decentralized systems in order to decrease operational expenses. The preliminary Stated Cost Limitation (SCL) or construction cost of the Project is estimated at $32,500,000. The final SCL may be revised by the Owner due to final programmatic requirements, funding availability or other circumstances.
