Renovation of a municipal facility in Ottawa, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
This project is initiated to remove existing 5 ton AC units model (ATS M#OHS-060-W) serial (s# 01050002) located in room AA125. Based on the assessment of the maintenance contractor the existing AC unit is grossly oversized for the space it serves. Currently the room has some IT equipment and possibly a few servers, consultant to confirm. The consultant shall carry out detail site investigation of the space and the equipment and carry out any cooling load calculation of the room as needed to select the new AC unit. The new cooling unit to be water cooled and to be connected to the building chilled water supply that is supplied from the Cliff St Chilled water plant. Prior to connecting the consultant shall validate the feasibility of connecting to the chilled water supply line. Existing unit supply voltage is 208v 3ph 70amp breaker, this is to be removed and replaced with new electrical requirement for the new unit. The existing unit is connected to a room tstat, this should be removed and new Tstat for the new unit to be provided, the new unit to be connected to the BAS as well, the consultant shall provide any sequence of operation for the new unit as needed.
