Solicitation no- 20190151.00 The Eagle Spring Lake Management District will be accepting bids for dam renovations and repairs to the Wambold Dam, Town of Eagle, Waukesha County, Wisconsin DNR Field File Number 67.04 for work to include, but not limited to: rebuilding water intake, installation of mechanical gates, concrete repairs, and reinforcement of concrete decking The Project includes the following Work: The work includes various work at the Wambold Dam and the Kroll Outlet as described in the following sections & incidental related work. Item 1 Wambold Dam Retaining Wall Item 2 Wambold Dam Concrete Repair Item 3 Kroll Outlet Intake Repairs Item 4 Kroll Outlet Stop Board Replacement Item 5 Kroll Outlet Survey Marker Installation Item 6 Kroll Outlet Bollard Removal and Replacement Item 7 Storage Building Rehabilitation Item 8 Davis Bacon Act Wage Compliance For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents. Item 1 Wambold Dam Retaining Wall This item has two alternatives. Alternative A is to remove the existing timber wall and replace it with a cast-in-place concrete wall. Alternative B is to place riprap in front, on top of, and behind the existing timber wall. For both alternatives, there are associated concrete repairs to the existing infrastructure, chain link fencing installation, and erosion control. Item 2 Wambold Dam Concrete Repair This item consists of performing concrete surface repairs on the spillway walls along with associated erosion control. Item 3 Kroll Outlet Intake Repairs This item consists of removing and rebuilding the lake side intake and installing new trash gates. Alsoincluded are shoreline protection, erosion control and restoration. Item 4 Kroll Outlet Stop Board Replacement This item includes removing and replacing the existing wood stop board control system with two hand actuated mechanical gates. The gates will be located under the existing building within the race that is below the floor. Flow diversion during the work should be anticipated. Item 5 Kroll Outlet Survey Marker Installation The item includes the installation of a bronze survey marker to be placed in the concrete for the item 3, intake repairs. Contractor to establish the elevation of the benchmark. Item 6 Kroll Outlet Bollard Removal and Replacement There are two existing tree stumps that serve as bollards for a watercourse maintenance vessel. They are to be cleared and grubbed and two new steel bollards installed as replacements. Item 7 Storage Building Rehabilitation This item includes removing the existing floor support system and installing new structural steel supports, filling the existing crawl space under the floor and restoration of the concrete floor. Excavation to access the exterior foundation of the existing building and restoration is anticipated. Also included is erosion control.
