Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; for outdoor lighting for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

Renovations include a new skatepark, new playground, one (1) pickleball court, new parking, fencing, lighting, pathways, landscaping and other site amenities. The project is estimated at $2.6M. All bids will be accompanied by a deposit of not less than five percent (5%) of the value of the proposed work; all bidding procedures shall be in accordance with General Laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Chapter 30, Section 39M as amended to date. The successful General Bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond and payment bond each in the amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. Attention is called to the MA prevailing wage rate schedules and OSHA training requirements included in the bid documents. The contractor will be required to pay prevailing wages in accordance with the classification schedules and provide OSHA training as required. The Town of Weymouth has a ten percent (10%) goal for the utilization of Minority Business Enterprises (MBE) and five percent (5%) workforce utilization for both minority employees and for women employees has been set for this contract. All appropriate forms are included in the project manual. The Town of Weymouth reserves the right to waive any informality in or reject any or all general bids if it be in the public interest to do so.
