Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Chicago, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

Deadline for Questions 02-Aug-2021 16:00:00 Utility work in certain project locations will impact the date that these work sites will be available to the Contractor. This utility work is in addition to structure adjustments that are typically associated with roadway resurfacing. The Contractor will still be required to coordinate the adjustment of private utility structures with the contract work. Milestone 1 Submit a project schedule, including submittal dates for permits, within 14 calendar days after Notice to Proceed. Milestone 1A Submit a revised project schedule within 7 calendar days after receiving comments. This milestone applies to all subsequent project schedule revisions that may be required either until initial approval or as work progress dictates. Milestone 2 Complete the placement of Leveling Binder (Machine Method) within 7 calendar days of HMA surface removal for all locations regardless of pavement surface area milled. Milestone 2A Complete all permanent pavement marking work at all locations within 14 calendar days of HMA surface course placement. Milestone 3 Complete HMA surface removal on project locations totaling six miles in length by November 1, 2021. Milestone 4 Complete all work on all locations by July 31, 2022. Milestone 5 All work associated with Winter Shutdown must be completed by December 18, 2021 or by the Wednesday before Thanksgiving for locations within the central business district holiday moratorium. Winter shutdown work will include all HMA surface paving, ADA ramp installation, pavement markings, and the removal of all vehicle and pedestrian temporary traffic controls. All sites will be secured to the satisfaction of the Commissioner at no additional cost to the City.
