For Brunswick County Emergency Watershed Protection (EWP) Project Round 1 Brunswick County is soliciting proposals (RFP) from contractors to perform the removal of stream debris for the Brunswick County Emergency Watershed Protection (EWP) Project Round 1. Brunswick County has established the following objectives for this project. Any changes to the specifications or Scope of Work will be made in the form of an Addendum to this Request for Proposals and will be supplied to all prospective contractors and posted on the Brunswick County website. Brunswick County may negotiate and refine the final Scope of Work with the selected contractor. Brunswick County reserves the right to negotiate additional services with the selected contractor at any time after the initial contract award. - The contractor is required to submit a project schedule showing the sequence of all work to be performed. - The contractor shall provide an itemized bid proposal. Each project site shall have an individual cost, along with a total project cost. - The contractor shall use the North Carolina Department of Transportation right of way for ingress/egress to project locations. - Project sites with additional completion requirements (streambank stabilization, backfilling, hauling and disposal of debris, and sediment removal) will be flagged by the USDA NRCS representative or Brunswick County staff. - The limits (upstream and downstream) of stream debris removal from the stream corridor will be flagged by the USDA NRCS representative or Brunswick County staff.
