The Albany Port District Commission invites bids in connection with The Lease Fulfillment A/E Upgrades MYS DEC Transportation Building located on 102 Smith Blvd Albany NY 12202 in accordance with bidding documents prepared by LaBella/Chazen with office located at 4 British American Blvd Latham NY 12110 Separate bids are requested for prime contracts: Contract 1: Contract 2: Mechanical Contractor (MC) There will be no pre-bid conference scheduled for this project. It is the policy of the APDC to encourage meaningful minority-and women-owned business enterprise participation in the is project by contractors, subcontractors and suppliers under the Contract, and all bidders are expected to cooperate in implementing this policy. APDC hereby establishes an overall goal of 30% for MWBE participation, 15% FOR Minority-owned Business Enterprises ("MBE") participation and 15% for Women-Owned Business Enterprises ("WBE") participation for Contract 02 - Mechanical Contractor (MC). Check shall be payable to The Albany Port District Commission. It is the policy of the APDC to encourage Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business participation in projects by contractors, subcontractors and suppliers, and all Bidders/Contractors are expected to cooperate in implementing this policy. The participation goal for all contracts in 6% utilization. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities or defects in such bid either before or after opening. Each bidder must deposit with his/her bid, security in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the "INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS". Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and to the minimum wage rates to be paid under the contracts. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within forty-five (45) days after the actual bid opening. The Port District Commission reserves the right to waive any and all informalities in or to reject any or all bids. The Owner further reserves its right to disqualify Bidders for any material failure to comply with the "Instructions to Bidders" and "Supplementary Instructions to Bidders."
