Renovation of a municipal facility in Newport, New Hampshire. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 4,350-square-foot municipal facility.
Sullivan County seeks proposals from well-qualified firms for construction services for replacement of sections of roof in the Woodhull Complex in Newport, NH. The following roofs are scheduled for replacement: 1. Main Roof Area - Approximately 2,800 SF 2. Sheriff Office and Low Egress Areas - Approximately 1,550 Sf Sullivan County Board of Commissioners will award this project during a regular public business meeting generally scheduled for the first and third Mondays of each month at 3:00 pm. It is anticipated that this project will be on the August 16, 2021 agenda. Formal notification of proposal award to all Bidders, thereafter Questions during the bidding period must be submitted to Mary Bourque at mbourque@sullivancountynh.gov. The deadline for submitting questions will be August 4, 2021 at noon. Answers to questions during the bidding period will be posted on the Sullivan County website periodically. The Contractor shall perform all work as specified or indicated in the Contract Documents for the completion of the Project. The Contractor shall provide, at his expense, all labor, materials, equipment and incidentals as may be necessary for the expeditious and proper execution of the Project. A. All work performed under this contract shall be to the highest industry standards in a professional workmanlike manner in accordance with the published recommendations of the National Roofing Contractors Association with regards to the methods and techniques of the work; however, in all cases the manufacturer's installation recommendations shall take priority. B. The contractor will remove the existing roofing material, drip edges, pipe flashing and any underlayment's to the deck surface and dispose of these materials. C. The contractor and County will inspect the exposed roof deck to determine if any decking needs to be repaired or replaced. D. The contractor is responsible for protection of the roof from fire and moisture penetration at all times. Any wood must be completely dry before the installation of any materials. Metal surfaces must be completely cleaned of all potentially corrosive materials before the application of coverings. Contractor is responsible for field measurements and material calculations requirements. Approximate square footages have been included for reference only. Include all required material and freight. E. The contractor shall provide, erect, and maintain all necessary barricades and other safety devices for the protection of the work, workers, and safety of the public with the understanding that the County facilities will be open for business at all times during the project during normal business hours. F. All work shall be cleaned-up on a daily basis, or more frequently, if necessary, to prevent accidents to the greatest extent practical. G. All removed materials and scrap are to be the responsibility of the successful awarded provider, including site cleaning of affected work area at the completion of the project. H. The County shall provide the contractor with access to electrical power, restroom facilities, and local permits application fees (if applicable) at no charge. The Contractor shall be responsible for all labor and materials necessary to utilize these resources.
