Collins Middle School Office Renovations Attention is directed to the minimum wage rates to be paid to applicable bids as determined by the Department of Labor Standards under the provisions of Massachusetts General laws, Chapter 149, Sections 26 to 27D inclusive. The awards are made by the Purchasing Agent and are subject to Mayoral approval. The City of Salem reserves the right to reject all bids/all proposals or to waive any informality in the IFB/RFQ process, if deemed in the City's best interest. Thomas P. Watkins Purchasing Agent The Contractor shall start the work under this Contract on written notice on or around September 20, 2021; completion no later than November 30, 2021. 1. Demolition and removal of portions of interior partitions, as indicated. 2. Demolition and removal of doors, frames and associated hardware, as indicated. 3. Demolition and removal of all toilet partitions and accessories. 4. Demolition and removal of ceramic tile wall finish. 5. Demolition and removal of plumbing fixtures. 6. Demolition and removal of light fixtures, as indicated. 7. Removal and salvage of the following for reinstallation: Detach items from existing construction and legally dispose of them off-site, unless indicated to be removed and salvaged or removed and reinstalled. Protect walls, ceilings, floors, and other existing finish work that are to remain or that are exposed during selective demolition operations. Clean adjacent structures and improvements of dust, dirt, and debris caused by selective demolition operations. 1. Acoustical ceiling panels 2. Exposed grid suspension system 3. Wire hangers, fasteners, main runners, cross tees, and wall angle moldings 4. Perimeter TrimAction nstall wall moldings at intersection of suspended ceiling and vertical surfaces. Miter corners where wall moldings intersect or install corner caps. Concrete floors must be free of dust, solvent, paint, wax, oil, grease, residual adhesive, adhesive removers, film-forming curing compounds, silicate penetrating curing compounds, sealing, hardening or parting compounds, alkaline salts, excessive carbonation or laitence, mold, mildew, and other foreign materials that may affect dissipation rate of moisture from the concrete, discoloration or adhesive bonding.
