Demolition and site work for a residential development in Findlay, Ohio. Completed plans call for the demolition of a 4,270-square-foot, one-story above grade residential development; and for site work for a residential development.

DEMOLITION OF BUILDINGS LOCATED AT 119 CLINTON COURT IN THE CITY OF FINDLAY, OHIO Bid security furnished in Bond form, shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. Each proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal. All Contractors and Subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable, use Ohio products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of their project. Compliance with the Equal Employment Opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, the Governor's Executive Order of 1972, and Governor's Executive Order 84-9 shall be required. Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on public improvements in Hancock County, Ohio as determined by the Ohio Bureau of Wage & Hour Administration. Bids are to be sealed, marked "BID - BUILDING DEMOLITION - 119 CLINTON COURT" and addressed to the Clerk of the Board of Commissioners of Hancock County, Ohio. Mailed bids shall be sent to 300 South Main Street, Findlay, Ohio 45840. Hand delivered bids shall be brought to 514 South Main Street, Findlay, Ohio 45840. The Hancock County Commissioners reserve the right to waive irregularities and to reject any or all bids submitted on any basis and without disclosure of a reason. The failure to make such a disclosure shall not result in the accrual of any right, claim, or cause of action by any successful bidder against Hancock County or the Board of Hancock County Commissioners. 1. The demolition work is located at 119 Clinton Court and involves a commercial building. Additional information on the building is as follows: o Square footage - 4,270 SF o No basement o 1 Story o Ceiling Height - 10' o Exterior - Brick o Frame - Concrete block/Masonry o Foundation - slab The above information was taken from the records of the Hancock County Auditor and does not represent an on-site survey of said building. Bidders shall confirm actual conditions via on-site inspection. Bidders will have an opportunity to visually inspect the subject buildings at the following date and time: Thursday July 29, 2021 at 11:00 AM On request, Owner will provide Bidder additional access to the Site to conduct such examinations, investigations, explorations, tests and studies as each Bidder deems necessary for submission of a Bid. Bidder shall fill all holes and clean up and restore the Site to its former conditions upon completion of such explorations, investigations, tests and studies. Bidder shall comply with all Laws and Regulations relative to such explorations, investigations, tests and studies. Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment and incidentals as shown, specified or required for demolitions, removal and disposal. 3. Demolition includes: a. Demolition and removal of building superstructure (includes walls, flooring, doors, windows, structural steel, metals, roofs, masonry, attachments, appurtenances, piping, electrical and mechanical equipment). Personal property items (desks, chairs, filing cabinets, etc.) remaining in the building at the start of demolition will become the property of the contractor and can be re-sold or disposed. b. The entire foundation slab for the commercial building shall remain in place. Care shall be taken to avoid disturbing the bike path south of the building. c. Disconnecting, capping or sealing, abandoning in-place below grade, and/or removing site utilities. d. Providing records of abandoned utilities and correspondence with utility companies. 4. Contractor shall pay for all disposal fees and shall obtain a demolition permit ($20) and a flood plain development permit ($400) for each building from the City of Findlay (a total of $420).
