Site work for a mixed-use development in Calgary, Alberta. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and sidewalk / parking lot.
Work of this Contract comprises the following: Asphalt and concrete rehabilitation work at all four (4) sites within the Calgary Spyhill Complex including minor stormwater infrastructure upgrades at one (1) site. Each site is summarized as follows: Demolition and reconstruction of the existing pavement structure for the asphalt paved areas at the Calgary Correctional Centre (CCC) including various curbs, concrete sidewalks/open spaces, new catchbasin/catchbasin manhole/catchbasin lead, landscape rehabilitation, and pavement paint markings. The scope includes the front parking lot, the internal access roads, the restricted back area, concrete/walkway areas, and the internal exercise yards. Demolition and reconstruction of the existing graveled areas and asphalt pavement structure for the areas around the Infrastructure Shops (IS) including various curbs/gutters, sidewalks, landscape rehabilitation, and pavement paint markings. Milling and overlay of the existing asphalt paved areas at the Calgary Remand Centre (CRC) including various sidewalks, landscape rehabilitation, and pavement paint markings. The scope includes the front parking lot, the internal access roads, concrete/walkway areas. The scope also includes the demolition and reconstruction of the existing pavement structure for the back loading area at the Calgary Spyhill Remand Centre. Milling and overlay of the existing asphalt paved areas at the Calgary Young Offender Centre (CYOC) including various sidewalks, landscape rehabilitation, and pavement paint markings. The scope includes the front parking lot, the internal access roads, concrete/walkway areas, and the restricted back area. The scope also includes the demolition and reconstruction of the existing pavement structure of the pick/drop-off area at the main entrance into CYOC. All four (4) sites will need to remain operational with no disruption to vehicular access to all facilities/loading bays during the entire duration of construction. A construction sequencing plan will be required. Temporary/overflow parking can be provided and coordinated with the Contractor to accommodate parking demands during construction of the parking lots including scheduling key components of the work during weekends when parking requirements and vehicular access are significantly lower. Owner requires that all interested parties sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) in order to access the plans and specs for this project.
