As of 9/2/2021 project was already awarded for $78,991.20. Pavement Entrance and Pavement Phase 1A - Schulte-Johnson 2nd Addition Any questions prior to bid submittal should be directed to Shawn Mellies, P.E., Project Engineer, at (316) 268-4632 or smellies@wichita.gov. Deadline for Questions. For comments that affect bid items and/or quantities: Noon Tuesday prior to bid opening. For questions and comments requiring clarification only: Noon Wednesday prior to bid opening. This is necessary so appropriate changes and responses can be completed before bidding. For state/federal aid projects, the prime contractor must be on the Kansas Department of Transportation's pre-qualified contractors list. A bid submitted by a contractor not on the list will be considered non responsive and rejected. The work order on this project shall be issued 20 (twenty) calendar days after the date on which the contract for this project has been awarded to the successful bidder. The work on this project shall be completed within 45 (forty-five) total for both projects working days from date of beginning work and in accordance with the plans and Standard Specifications. Graber Circle shall be completed within the first 15 working days. The City reserves the right to refuse to award the project to a prospective bidder if the bidder is in default for any of the following reasons: Failure to comply with any prequalification regulations of the City, if such regulations are cited, or otherwise included, in the proposal as a requirement for bidding. Failure to pay, or satisfactorily settle, all bills due for labor and materials on former contracts in force with the City at the time the City issues the proposal to a prospective bidder. Documented record of Contractor default under previous contracts with the City.
