Bids must be submitted on standard form, available with the specifications. Bids must be enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the name and address of the bidder and shall be marked on the outside for "Haddonfield Library Enclosure Improvements". Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et. seq., N.J.A.C. 17:27-1 et seq. and other information required as shown in the bid packet. The Contractor agrees to start the work herein contracted for within ten (10) days from the date of the Engineer's Notice To Proceed to the Contractor directing him to proceed with the work. The time to complete the work contracted for, from the date of the Proceed Order, shall be limited to the following: NINETY (90) CALENDAR DAYS A. The BASE BID work on this project is for the Haddonfield Library Enclosure Improvements as indicated in the project documents, and consists of the following: I. Remove and properly dispose of the existing gypsum board and wood stud framing around the existing steel beam/lintel supporting the brick above the proposed folding glass wall. The existing steel beam shall remain. 2. Furnish and install one (1) demountable glass folding wall system with a 12" band of distraction film applied to the glass surface, as detailed in these specifications. The distraction film band shall be installed at 60 inches above the finished floor to the center of the film band. The proposed glass folding wall system will be attached to the bottom flange of the existing overhead steel beam, as shown on the wall manufacturer's details in the Contract Documents. 3. The Contractor is responsible for cleaning and restoration of the site to the pre-construction conditions. 4. All work not specifically described or listed in the specifications that are incidental to work completion shall be considered as included within scope. 5. All work not specifically listed in a bid form pay item shall be incorporated into the lump sum/unit pay items listed. B. The ADD ALTERNATE #1 work on this project is for the Haddonfield Library Enclosure Improvements as indicated in the project documents, and consists of the following: I. Furnish and install one (1) dual-pane glass swing door, as shown in the Contract Documents. The existing rough opening in the wall is 40" wide x 80" high. 2. The Contractor is responsible for cleaning and restoration of the site to the pre-construction conditions. 3. All work not specifically described or listed in the specifications that are incidental to work completion shall be considered as included within scope. 4. All work not specifically listed in a bid form pay item shall be incorporated into the lump sum/unit pay items listed. C.
