8/19/2021 4:00 PM The Project consists of constructing a water distribution system, development of a groundwater well, and rehabilitation of a storage building. Bid security in the form a Certified Check or Bid Bond shall be furnished with the bid in an amount not less than 10%. The Barkeyville Municipal Authority reserves the right to waive any defects, errors, omissions, mistakes, informalities, to accept any bid or combination of bids that are deemed to be in the best interest of the Barkeyville Municipal Authority, and to reject any or all proposals. Section 746 of Title VII of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2017 (Division A - Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2017) and subsequent statutes mandating domestic preference applies an American Iron and Steel requirement to this project. All listed iron and steel products used in this project must be produced in the United States. The term "iron and steel products" means the following products made primarily of iron or steel: lined or unlined pipes and fittings, manhole covers and other municipal castings, hydrants, tanks, flanges, pipe clamps and restraints, valves, structural steel, reinforced precast concrete, and construction materials. The de minimis and minor components waiver apply to this Contract. All bidders are hereby notified that in regard to any Contract pursuant to this advertisement, businesses will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this notice and will not be subjected to discrimination on the basis of gender, race, color, creed, sex, age, physical disability or national origin in consideration for an award. Similarly the Successful Bidder shall in no manner discriminate against or intimidate any employee involved in the manufacture of supplies, the performance of Work, or any other activity required under the Contract on account of gender, race, creed or color.
