On-Call Welding and Building Repairs (Term Contract). The County of Lexington is seeking sealed proposals for an experienced welder and building repair contractor to provide on-call services for the Solid Waste Management Department. Projects assigned to the contractor under this contract may include, but are not limited to: Welding repairs on heavy equipment; Welding repairs on equipment attachments; Welding repairs on the Solid Waste Transfer Station; Building repairs on various buildings including sheet metal and woodwork; and Welding and repairs needed for recycling trailers. The successful vendor will enter into a five (5) year contract with the County of Lexington to provide the services requested on an "as needed" or "on-call" basis. County of Lexington reserves the right to accept or reject all or any part of any proposal, waive minor technicalities, and award the contract to the offeror deemed to best serve the interests of the County; and adopt any part or all of a proposal if it is judged in the best interests of the County.
