The work consists of 2 Inch and 3Inch milling and resurfacing of approximately 7,000 square yards of HMA parking lot, 1,100 square feet of PCC sidewalk, 900 linear feet of Concrete Curb and Gutter Removal and Replacement, restoring Thermoplastic Pavement Markings and restoration associated with the project All bids offered must be accompanied by bid security in the form of cash, certified check or bid bond made payable to the Village of Libertyville in the amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of the aggregate of the bid as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, a contract will be entered into and the performance of the contract properly secured. Electronic bid bonds will be accepted as part of this bid State of Illinois, Department of Transportation, Contractor Pre-Qualification and Subcontractor Registration is required. The Village of Libertyville reserves the right to accept or reject any bid, to award all or part of a contract, and to make such awards as are in the best interests of the Village of Libertyville. Factors other than price which will be considered in awarding or rejecting bids shall include the results of reference contacts, and the quality of the bidder performance on prior projects, if any, in the judgment of the Village of Libertyville. All proposals submitted shall be valid for a period of 60 days. Unless all bids are rejected, the contract award will be made to the lowest responsive responsible bidder. Bidders who are awarded a contract shall be required to provide a Labor and Material Payment Bond and a Performance Bond, each in the total amount of the contract sum upon execution of the contract. Contractor shall diligently and continuously prosecute the Work from the Commencement Date at such a rate as will allow the Work to be fully provided, performed, and completed in full compliance with, and as required by or pursuant to, this Contract, and the Work shall be fully provided, performed, and completed in full compliance with this Contract, not later than forty-five (45) calendar days following the Commencement Date.
