Renovation of a water / sewer project in Youngstown, Ohio. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

In general, the work shall consist of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals for construction of the following work: The project is located on the premises of the MVSD's Water Purification Plant at various locations throughout the facility. The project includes installation of a new plant-wide standby power diesel engine generator, a new main plant transformer, new generator controls, modifications to the existing main plant switchgear, replacement and expansion of one (1) SCADA PLC, remove existing smaller engine generators, and ancillary work associated with the specified improvements. Note that the new generator, generator control system, and transformer will be pre-procured by MVSD for installation as part of this project. Each bidder must furnish a Bid Guaranty/Contract Bond in accordance with section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code, signed by a Surety Company authorized to do business in the State of Ohio, in the sum of 100 percent of the amount of the bid. A Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Letter of Credit, revocable only by MVSD, equal to 10 percent of the amount bid is also acceptable. The successful bidder also must comply with all the provisions of (a) Ohio Prevailing Wage, (b) Contract Work Hours Standard Act, (c) The Copeland Act (Anti-Kickback), and (d) Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 Attention is directed to all bidders that a "Non-Collusion Affidavit" must be signed. The successful bidder must also sign a statement concerning Personal Property Taxes, in accordance with the Ohio Revised Code, Section 5719.042. The MVSD Board of Directors reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids received, to request additional information relative to a bidder's job experience and/or equipment, and to enter into a contract with the bidder, who, in the opinion of the MVSD, offers the lowest responsive and responsible bid. If in the opinion of MVSD or a delegated representative thereof, the lowest bid is not deemed the most qualified or favorable, MVSD may accept another bid so opened or reject all bids and re-advertise for other bids. No bidder may withdraw their bid for a period of 60 days after the time of opening bids. Please direct any questions to Attila Pap, Construction Manager, Stantec, at attila.pap@stantec.com.
