Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a municipal facility in Springfield, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a municipal facility.
This project includes the construction of a new atrium addition and renovations to the existing first and second floors of the Sangamon County Complex office building. The work for this project will be in multiple phases to allow for the building to remain occupied during construction. The new atrium includes public service counters and a monumental stair. The existing floors will be renovated for a courtroom, office space, training rooms, and updates to the Board Chambers. Exterior work for this project will include egress sidewalks and replacement of the exterior lights on the detention center. Minority, Women, Disadvantage and Veteran Business Subcontractor/ Supplier Participation is applicable. See additional information in Sections 00 4105 and Section 00 4106 Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. A Performance Bond, separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required of the successful Bidder. Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of 10 percent of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after opening of bids. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities.
