It is the intent of Charlotte County to secure the services of an individual or Contractor for services required for replacing the impeller, gasket, wear ring, seal, shim, sleeve, impeller screw and all related appurtenances for an impeller replacement on two (2) Cornell 4514T-VC18DB pumps located in a wastewater vacuum pump station located at 598 Skylark Lane, Port Charlotte, FL 33952. No license(s) are required to perform the service. The County shall have the right to unilaterally cancel, terminate or suspend this Contract, in whole or in part, by providing the Contractor thirty (30) days written notice by certified mail. The work includes modifying the subject Cornell pumps by changing the current 11.8125-inch diameter impeller to a 10.5-inch diameter impeller and reducing the speed from 1800 RPM to 1200 RPM synchronous or 1770 RPM to 1170 RPM respectively. This can be done using the existing 50 HP motor and Variable Frequency Drive (VFD). The VFD will require programming not to exceed 1170 RPM. The VFD programming will be performed by the County. The pump can be isolated so one pump can be left operational during the swap. The Contractor will be responsible for the control and collection of any wastewater discharge during this pump impeller replacement process. The work needs to be performed during normal working hours. The Contractor shall complete the work on one pump and shall proceed on the second pump in coordination and as approved by CCUD. The County has acquired the following parts for each pump for this work: One (1) each pump Volute Gasket One (1) each pump impeller 10.5-inch One (1) each case wear ring CI One (1) Cyclo Seal One (1) Impeller Shim One (1) each Pump Shaft Sleeve One (1) each Impeller Screw The County reserves the right to reject the quote of any quoter who has previously failed to perform properly, or on time, contracts of similar nature; or who is not in a position to satisfactorily perform the contract. If, after the due date and time, the lowest quoter is deemed non-responsible by the County, such quoter shall receive written notice from the County of this determination. The quoter shall have five (5) business days from the date of this notice to dispute the determination and to provide to the County any additional information it deems relevant regarding the quoter's responsibility. The County shall make a final determination regarding the quoter's responsibility at the time of award of the contract.
