Renovation of a playground / park / athletic field in Hagerstown, Maryland. Completed plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field.
As of Nov 8 the project has not been awarded yet, possibly it will happen late December.. This project includes both external and internal repairs to the structure. External work includes window repairs, painting the entire exterior, roof cricket, replacing siding, column repairs, gutter and downspouts, trim board and cornice repairs. Internal work includes stair upgrades and internal wall replacement due to water damage; and all labor, material, time, and appurtenances required to complete the work in accordance with the Contract Documents prepared by the City of Hagerstown, MD and MSB Architects. Liquidated damages are assessed at $300.00 per day. Funding for this project is $75,000 by The City of Hagerstown, Maryland and $60,000 by Maryland Historical Trust Capital Grant. All work must comply with all applicable "Secretary's Standards" and applicable State regulations 10% Bid Bond, Cashier's Check or Certified Check to be submitted with the Sealed Proposal. The successful Bidder shall submit a 100% Performance Bond and a Labor & Materials Payment Bond upon award of contract. Notice to Proceed will be issued in late October 2021, on a date agreed to by the contractor and the City. Completion will be Spring 2022 One Hundred Twenty (120) working days is the length of the contract.
