Online Q&A Yes Q&A Deadline 08/04/2021 12:00 PM (PDT) Part A: The City of Newport Beach ("City") is seeking proposals from qualified architecture and design firms with experience and technical qualifications to prepare complete building plans for ADUs. The City intends to purchase the building plans from the selected firm, and make them available to the public, free of charge, as an incentive to promote construction of ADU housing that is more affordable, by design, due to the size of the units and preparation of pre-approved building plans. The objective of this Request for Proposal ("RFP") solicitation is to identify the highest-qualified proposer to provide these services over the course of a proposed eighteen (18) month contract term. Part B: The City of Newport Beach ("City") is seeking proposals from qualified planning, architecture, design, and/or construction firms with ADU experience and technical qualifications to prepare and help launch a public outreach campaign to inform property owners and the development community of the benefits of ADUs, promote City incentives (i.e., permit fee waiver program and proposed permit ready plans), and streamline the development process. The objective of this Request for Proposal ("RFP") solicitation is to identify the highest-qualified proposer to provide these services over the course of a proposed eighteen (18) month contract term. Prospective firms may elect to propose on Part A and/or Part B. Based on review and evaluation by City, City may, at its discretion, elect to award contracts for Part A and Part B to two (2) individual firms, or award a single contract for both Part A and Part B to a single firm. The City is not responsible for and accepts no liability in the event a response is late due to any network, internet, or any other technical problem or interruption.
