City of Aurora NOTICE TO BIDDERS 21-47 Description of Work Name: 2021 Bridge Rehabilitation Aurora, IL Scope of Services: The City is seeking bids for repairs to various bridges throughout the City, including, at a minimum, bridge deck protective coating, spall patching (Structural Repair of Concrete), and railing and guardrail repairs. PLEASE NOTE: There will be no pre-bid meeting for this project. Any questions regarding this bid opportunity shall be submitted to the Director of Purchasing via email at purchasingDL@aurora.il.us by no later than 5:00 pm, Monday, August 9, 2021. Addendums will be posted by 12:00 pm, Wednesday, August 11, 2021. Any questions received after this date will not be addressed via Addendum and will not be reflected in the project scope. This project shall consist of repairs to various bridges throughout the City, including bridge washing, deck slab repair, bridge deck protective coating, and spall patching (Structural Repair of Concrete). The City reserves the right to waive technicalities and to reject any or all proposals as provided in Standard Provisions for Bidding Requirements and Conditions for Contract Proposals contained in the Supplemental Specifications and Recurring Special Provisions. The City encourages minority business firms to submit proposals and encourages the successful contract bidder to utilize minority businesses as subcontractors for supplies, equipment, services, and construction.
