Contract G - General Construction Work SED No. 28-02-07-02-6-006-008 & 28-02-07-02-6-006-009 It is the Board of Trustees intention to award the contracts to the lowest qualified bidder who can meet the experience, technical and budget requirements. The Board of Trustees reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive any informality and to accept such bid which, in the opinion of the Board of Trustees, is in the best interests of the Library. Bids include all costs associated with the project. By submitting a bid, the bidder represents that they are familiar with the site and project conditions. Additionally, prior to submitting its bid, Contractor shall make the Architect and Owner aware of any problems and/or inconsistencies in the bid documents. Each proposal submitted must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond, made payable to the Bellmore Memorial Library, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid, as a commitment by the bidder that, if its bid is accepted, it will enter into a contract to perform the work and will execute such further security as may be required for the faithful performance of the contract. Each bidder shall agree to hold his/her bid price for forty five (45) days after the formal bid opening. Bid Bond Minimum of 5% of contract bid. 2) Performance Bond & Labor and Material Payment Bonds 125% of contract bid for period of construction. 3) Maintenance Bond 100% of contract price for two years after final completion
