Renovation of a mixed-use development in Oak Ridge, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

A brief description of work in the project follows: o Removal of the existing spray foam and built-up roofing system(s) down to the tectum decking. Roof size is approximately 9,000 sq. ft. o The roofing system insulation shall be an isocyanate insulation with a 1/2 " primed- gypsum overlayment board, sloped to drain from the center to new perimeter gutters. o The replacement membrane assembly consists of the application of a fully-adhered PVC-KEE single-ply membrane. Scope of Work includes installation of a new perimeter edge metal and prefinished gutters. o Roofing membrane installation shall be requiring on-going inspections by the membrane manufacturer during the installation process and will be eligible to receive a 20-year NDL material and labor warranty. o Project start date will be determined upon verification of material delivery. o The resulting contract will be to furnish all labor, supervision, materials and equipment necessary to perform the work as shown on the plans and described in the project specifications. o Only licensed Asbestos Abatement contractors can bid on the existing roofing demo A 5% bid security as well as a 100% Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds are required for this project. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids for a period of 60 days. Minority businesses are encouraged to submit bids for this project. The appropriate forms from the section entitled "Participation by Women and Minority Owned Businesses" must be submitted with each bid to show good faith efforts to obtain Minority and Women Owned Business Enterprise participation. The goals set for participation by MWBE firms as subcontractors have been set at 12.46%. GCS goal for goods and services has been set at 10%.
