Sealed bids will be received at the office of the Board of Pike County Commissioners, Pike County Government Center, Waverly, Ohio for furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to complete the project known as PAVING PORTIONS OF CLINES CHAPEL ROAD, PIK-CR33, LEETH CREEK ROAD, PIK-CR5, NEWLAND RIDGE ROAD, PIK-CR18, PENNINGTON ROAD, PIK-CR102, UNION ROAD, PIK-CR30, & WALDREN HILL ROAD, PIK-CR38 (10.855 TOTAL MILES) and at said time and place, publicly opened and read aloud. Bid security furnished in Bond form, shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. Each proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit a complete listing of all subcontractors to be used. All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practical use Ohio products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of their project. Additionally, contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, the Governor's Executive Order of 1972, and the Governor's Executive Order 84-9 shall be required. Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Pike County, as determined by the Ohio Department of Commerce, Wage and Hour Bureau. NOTE: Only bids submitted by "Contractors prequalified with the Ohio Department of Transportation, Bureau of Contractor Qualifications" will be accepted on this project. In order for a contractor to be awarded a construction contract on this project, a current "Certificate of Qualification" must be submitted prior to award of the contract showing qualification to perform the type of work included in this construction contract. The amount of the Certificate of Qualification must exceed the amount of the bid on this project. Any bid submitted by a contractor who is not prequalified as required herein will be rejected. The Board of Pike County Commissioners reserve the right to waive irregularities and to reject any or all bids for the best interest of Pike County.
