The City of Waterloo is undertaking the Waterloo Park Circuit project to design and build an interior walkway, also known as the Park Circuit, in the west side of Waterloo Park. The Park Circuit will link the various activity areas of the park and create a strong connection to the surrounding communities and between the east and west sides of the Park. The scope of work will include, but is not limited to: - Excavation, earthworks, grading - Site servicing: water, storm, and electrical - Concrete works, including trails, pads, curbs, helical piles, slabs, and abutments - Bioswales and culverts - Pedestrian bridge design, fabrication, and installation - High-end furniture and receptacle installation - Signage installation - Lawn areas and planting, including large caliper tree planting - Surface painting, including basketball court lines, trail markings and symbols, and parking lot markings The following anticipated key dates are as follows: - It is expected that the work will be awarded in January 2023. - The anticipated construction start date is January 2023. - The date of substantial work completion is to be no later than 25 August 2023. - The allocated working day allowance for this project in its entirety is set at 75 working days. The Contractor shall provide a schedule at the preconstruction meeting showing where the working days are anticipated to be used. When the Contractor mobilizes, or remobilizes, in 2023 they shall remain onsite continuously and shall work expeditiously until the works are complete.
