Demolition and site work for a municipal facility in Natrona Heights, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the demolition of a municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.

The work generally consists of the demolition of three (3) properties and asbestos abatement of one (1) property as indicated in the Form of Proposal. Also include is rodent extermination prior to demolition, erosion and sedimentation control, utility disconnections, vegetative restoration, and disposal of all asbestos containing material in a landfill permitted to accept such materials, and all else required as set forth in these Specifications. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond, in the form of a Certified Check or Corporate Surety Bid Bond, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Bid Proposal made in the favor of Harrison Township. Only documents obtained directly from the Engineer will be valid at bid opening. Copies of the Bid Documents may be examined at the office of the Harrison Township Secretary or at the office of NIRA Consulting Engineers, Inc., 950 Fifth Avenue, Coraopolis, Pennsylvania 15108. A Performance Bond, Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Maintenance Bond in the amounts specified within the Contract Documents will be required of the successful Bidder. Bidders on this work will be required to comply with the Provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act 442. The Prevailing Wage Scale is included in these Specifications. Bidders on this work will be required to comply with the Provisions of the Public Works Employment Verification Act (PWEVA). Adherence to Instructions to Bidders is required. The right is reserved by the Owner to reject any or all Bids or parts of bids and to waive technical defects in any Bid. The work covered under this Contract is located at 42 and 44 Federal Street and 27 Blue Ridge Avenue in Harrison Township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania Provide labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, and services and perform all operations required for completion of work on this Contract, as specified in the Contract Documents Perform any site investigations and review of existing record drawings as needed to supplement the Contract Documents and to confirm measurements, sizes, and locations for structures, equipment, and utilities to be demolished or to remain Unless otherwise specified, all work shall be performed in accordance with generally accepted standards of demolition methods and by these Specifications. Standards and other publications referenced in these Specifications shall be of the issues in effect at the time of bidding and shall form a part of this Contract unless otherwise noted. Obtain Township Zoning (Demolition) Certificate (fee to be waived) for each separate property/structure. Notify Allegheny County Health Department (ACHD) and the Harrison Township Code Enforcement Officer not less than ten (10) days in advance of conducting any demolition or asbestos abatement of any property.
